Had a pair as a kid... however all creatures on our farm had a purpose... and I believe ours were dinner at some point in time. =/

sorry for your drowned duck - didn't know it was possible either?Jenihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03906855143092978620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8875253307572682101.post-4076215719970839582012-05-29T22:53:49.488-04:002012-05-29T22:53:49.488-04:00So, we just discovered a mama duck and eight eggs ...So, we just discovered a mama duck and eight eggs in our backyard-we are moving into the house (slowly), so I'm assuming she chose the spot because it's in ivy under a tree and very quiet, but it's in suburbia with NO water anywhere. I don't get it? Now I'm super worried about them hatching...we have two elderly goldens that I don't think will hurt them, but what about raccoons and opossums? I was going to get a kiddie pool but maybe that's too deep right now. Sorry about the drowned duckling:( We have lots of plastic containers we could fill with an inch or two of water to start with I guess. It's totally stressing me out, but I'm also super excited to see behbeh duckies, because there is truly nothing cuter!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08665170020323796310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8875253307572682101.post-62418139943058380052012-05-29T19:23:28.017-04:002012-05-29T19:23:28.017-04:00We have newly hatched ducklings at the barn.
