I've owned him for two years and we both have improved a lot, but I still struggle to control him sometimes and I feel bad because I don't want him to have a "hard" mouth because of now it is softer. He just got over a lameness issue so he has some energy to get rid of but after that I want to try a bitless again. Any advice?

Also, what grain do you recommend? There isn't enough pasture where I board to sustain him and hay is pricey where I live. I have always used pellets but he's been on sweetfeed the past few months which I hate. I really like the sound of Blue Seal Trotter. Is there anything you recommend?Michaelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02155297951342497646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8875253307572682101.post-87139606687858293962010-06-11T18:53:11.256-04:002010-06-11T18:53:11.256-04:00Awesome..Juliette u rock with your horse kindness!...Awesome..Juliette u rock with your horse kindness!! I hope I didn't open a can of worms by talking about the Dr. Cook's Bitless! Sorry! I am soooo open to trying the Nurtural - especially if it is kinder than the Dr. Cook's! I really just started with the Dr. Cook's so that is what we have. I just wanted to make sure that there was no bit involved at all!
I am looking forward to learning about the differences in the bitless bridles out there. It is no good going bitless if the bitless bridle you choose is worse than the bit! Let me know!! I do natural horsemanship and the bit is used just for refinement and if you get your horses respect from the ground you don't need a bit!lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01998455958377639450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8875253307572682101.post-91920628135898232732010-06-10T13:28:31.378-04:002010-06-10T13:28:31.378-04:00Thanks!
