I love observing herd behaviour and the ways they adapt to our housing conditions. Creates a lot of problems believe it or not. By working at so many different barns I have learned how I DON'T want to keep my horses. Gotta let a horse be a horse and always remember although barns are convenient (to humans) the horse came before the barn did.
I don't like to keep my horses in a barn, I have run in shelters for them. Makes it more difficult in wet weather because I blanket Beamer in the winter, but I have 4 blankets for him and a very good waterproof sheet to put over them.

Watching horse herd dynamics is always interesting. Lucky you that you have that opportunity every day.
Great pictures!
