Boots, especially boots. What would I do without them?
My favorites, hands down the most comfortable pair of boots you will ever own; blundstones. They are wide, durable, the most comfy boots ever. Plus they have been around for a loooong, loooooooong time. Quality boots for sure. Plus they go with everything, jeans, shorts, capris, anything. At least in my wardrobe.
The second favorite for looks and durability would be my Ariat heritage roughstock boots. They have done a few thousand bales of hay this year and don't show any wear or tear. Actually they look almost exactly like they did in this image taken in April. However they are not as wide as my Blundstones so they do not fit my large feet as well and start to rub my big toe after a few hours too many in them.
These are the most uncomfortable pair of shoes I own. I hate, hate, hate, hate them.I just got back from an awesome wedding. These shoes are too narrow. Why can't I just live in the barn and never have to look presentable in public?
Last but not least my easywalker horse shoes on Indigo. She wears more foot on the large gravel and pavement than she grows so we found the next best alternative to barefoot and boots (that come off even with gaiters). We have been using them for a couple seasons now and they are great compared to metal shoes.

comfy shoes, that's what sensible people wear. Seemy niece's shoes. I crinch when I see her in it.
Great shots!
I am partial to Ariat too, nothing like them. Mine fit like a glove and extremely comfortable.
I like the shot of Indigo. Indigo seems to be enjoying life at the moment, not worried about who sees the shoes or what kind they are.
Nice selection of pics! Love the boots and lariet the best!
Great choices. I love seeing Indigo rolling!
i was looking at those arieat roughstocks, glad to hear they hold up well, they may be my next pair.
If you want dress shoes for wide feet (like mine!) try Payless Shoes. They are the only store that I can find my size in. Love the photo of Indigo.
Your first shot brought back memories as my grandfather wore boots similar to these. I thought of him immediately when I saw your picture. Love the work boots as well. :)
The second photo is very cool with the rope. Nice composition.
I love how cute horses look when they roll. Indigo looks great.
Those stripy strap shoes look painful. Your little toes are trying to escape. lol!
I don't own any uncomfy shoes. Once they give me a blister or hurt my feet, they're outta here!
Great variety of shoes you got there. Seems like shoes tell quite a lot about folks and their lives...

Great shots. I am in need of new boots and I keep hearing how comfortable the Blundstones are, may just have to give those a whirl.
I have never really liked the boots you can buy at tack shops, or that are for horse people-I tend to get hardy hiking boots from the nearest outdoor sports store, because I do so much besides mucking stalls-gotta be able to tromp around behind our boys after all!
Thanks for the tip on the yeast for Bobby, I'll definitely look into that. Right now he's on a performance grain mix with lots of beet pulp shreds & a cup of flax seed oil a day, our vet said just up the oil & beet pulp intake. When she (our vet Molly) saw the boys in May, she gave them a 5-in-1 shot, floated Bobby's teeth, & took a fecal sample, as of then they were worm free. She did say if there's no change by October she'd come over & run some tests on him, so we'd still have time before winter came blowing in to get some weight on him.
Thank you again!
I have a pair of lace-up Ariats that I absolutely love; thanks to the happy combination of the clearance barn at Jeffers and an early birthday present from my parents :o)
Nothing like a great pair of boots, is there? Although I see you have a backup pair there *grin*.
I love my Ariats! the horse shoes look interesting. I'll have to check them out.
