The human race never fails to...

Disgust me!

So a quick update, will post more on this topic later but I had an unplanned tuck and roll event wilst driving my pony yesterday.
I was coming back from a little trot down a sideroad. Pony isn't terribly good on the road but he is ok.
This guy comes up behind us. No big deal.
He honks. About this time pony jumps a head. I am making "your a f*****g moron!" face and about to turn to see the car when the driver pulls up beside us, puts the car in neutral and REVS THE PISS OUT OF THE ENGINE!!
I just caught a glimpse of the car, looks like a dark blue neon but I am not sure because I was clinging for dear life onto a BUCKING and GALLOPING pony. More on that bucking part later.

Long story short I bailed before pony got caught on something and I did a superman impression and landed on my head (yes I was wearing a helmet!). Good thing I am at the age where I bounce and not splatter. I ended up with a bruised buttcheek and my one knuckle scraped off. Pony got caught up and I caught him and fixed him up.

So much for the big Brigdon show I was gonna bring him to on the weekend. But I do get to go to Halloween this weekend?

What it's to early? no way!
More later.

I'm so glad you didn't get hurt. That happened to the Pony Cousins on our first big trip. Some guy had to wait for us to cross the road, and when he went by he layed on the horn. What a jerk. No one got hurt, but we had some pretty shook up horses and riders trying to get them under control.

That asshole committed a crime - you were hurt and he intended harm. I am so sorry this happened to you. It frightens me that some humans, for some reason, truly hate equestrians and express that hate when behind the wheel of a vehicle. Glad you were basically okay.

I would of took the license plate number if I could of. Yes, you are lucky to be able to bounce and not splatter like I would and have!

I'm sure you were too busy to notice, but did the jerk enjoy the show? Or did he take off as soon as he realized what he did? I could imagine myself kicking the @#$% out of his car and encouraging my horse to do the same. In cases like that it would be nice to have a gun handy and blow out a tire so he could at least suffer some of the consequence, but the gunshot would probably scare the horse worse.

There are so many idiots out there, it just makes me sick. They just don't get it!
I am glad you didn't get seriously hurt, and hope you are feeling better soon!

Where is a cop when you actually need one?! What an ass! So glad you still bounce.

I didn't get his license plate. I hardly had time to see what colour the car was. I am not sure if the person intended to scare the pony or if he was just being a knob and going "hey lets race, har har" Either way, what a dumbass. I wish I could have got up and beat the crap out of the driver. He/she/it drove away.

omgoodness, its like people stop thinking out here. What a loser. I am totally going to be on the lookout for any car that resembles that one. Just incase I can see if we know who it is. Where we live, we all know each other.

Do you think it could have been peckerwood? Or was he driving something green.

Either way, what ever happened to respecting our loved ones? Animal or human.

He is driving something green and hes (unfortunately) smart enough to NEVER do that. He was in the carriage with me once when a motorcycle scared Indigo, I doubt he would ever do that. Hes driving his moms little spirit.

I think he KNEW what he was doing. And I bet if his "antics" had caused an accident, he would have been LONG gone down the road!

Thanks for reminding me of my age. Yep, I'm of the splattering type now. lol!

I'm glad you weren't seriously injured. What an idiot. Too bad you can't string him up to a horse and then make it gallop over cactus. grrr!
