Folks around here steal water from the hydrants. We have a hydrant in our neighborhood as we are one of the rare neighborhoods on community water. Many of the areas in the mountains have dry wells. Sometimes it's so obvious that a hydrant is being pilfered regularly because they leave the firehouse still attached. lol!

All I could think of when I saw the photo and caption was it had to be a dog's idea of eutopia!!! So, with that in mind, I wouldn't drink from it!
