Instead technology allows me to capture moments like these.
Because of technology I can cut a foot off my hair and show you all before and after pictures. I did this just this morning.
Before pictures, front and back. Gee, technology got the worst of me I swear I make the stupidest faces in pictures no matter what.
It looks a lot worse in the before because it was wet. I just got home from doing stalls Saturday morning, took a shower and put my pajamas back on...for a few hours before I had to drive carriage in the city.I handed my mother my Nikon, showed her how to focus. She presses the shutter button and like many others and goes "oh my gosh what just happened" I laughed. She took 6 pictures in a second and a half. I think she needs a little more practice but she enjoys cameras a lot.
My whole idea was to donate it to cancer. Unfortunately I had highlights some two or more years ago put into it and you can't donate it because it can't be used for wigs when it's been dyed. One more cut is a foot closer to being able to lop the majority of it off. I can grow my hair back, someone who has cancer may not be able to and can enjoy it and get more self esteem from it than I ever could. Plus like my hairdresser mom says "it's hair it grows back".
So here it is, digital photography, my technology.

Wow, great hair. You could actually sit on it couldn't you? Still it looks much better now that it is cut. Much healthier. Those father chrismas shots are great!
When your hair is that long, it is better to chop it off a foot at a time. Mine was once that length, but during a hot spell, I had all the heavy tresses cut to shoulder length - felt great, but took me weeks to get used to it!

I likes it. Before we were like, "wow look how long her hair is!" Now we're like holy crap her hair is gorgeous and look how long it is!"

I have left my hair grow out for 3 1/2years. Recently, someone did ask me if I had treated it, and I didn't know why they had asked me that. The answer was no, and now I know why. Keep growing your hair! Great cause! I love your hair!
Ooooh, that is some beautiful, long hair! I once had hair down to my waist. I cut it into a pageboy and ever since then it just keeps getting shorter and shorter. I have never had hair beyond shoulder length since that time.
I like the new length. It's still long and beautiful, but more 'finished' looking.
I know a lady that grows her hair out and then cuts it short specifically for that cause. It must be a really great feeling to donate to such a good cause.
