Wordless wednesday: My first horse

As you all know I can't be wordless. I just have way too much to say all the time.
My moms best friend's (the farrier) daughter (who lives in Florida and is more like family anyway) sends us all these old pictures.

Along with the old pictures is this one of me and my first horse.
I used to wear my dad's cowboy boots around the house all the time. There was just something about a HUGE pair of asskickin' boots that I could stomp around in and ride my "stick zebra" (hey no one could convince me, he was a horse!)

Gosh now I know why people thought I was so cute when I was little. Me with my horse and blonde pigtails wearing cowboy boots. Too bad I grew out of it.

My mom's best friend made me my stick zebra. This picture was probably sent to her to show her how much I played with him. I still have him too I don't think I have the heart to toss him out.

Some things never change.

AWWWW how cute!!!! My daughter started her horse "career" with my cowboy boots, an old hat and an old pony saddle someone gave her. She would sit in that saddle, ON THE FLOOR IN THE LIVING ROOM for hours and 'ride'!

Oh my, I would want to hang onto that stick zebra, too! He's really cute (you, too!) - nice that he was made just for you. Great photo!

That's too cute, Sydney. I think the zebra is blushing over how much you love him.

Never throw it out!

I will never throw out my brown teddy bear my uncle joe gave me. It looks like it expired a while ago but it will always have a place no matter where I go.

Some things are never meant to leave us.

You are/were/are adorable!

Never, never throw your stick zebra away. He's too precious. I once had a molded blue plastic puppet horse that I sold at a yard sale when I had 'outgrown' him. He had a black yarn mane and tail and huge oversized hooves. He had two strings and I could make him go clippity clop or sit down. I STILL miss ol' Blue!!

Cute!! I used to ride my green banana-seat bike and pretend it was a horse! :) I hope you are having a great week!

Awww! You were the cutest little muffin! I bet when/if you have kids your daughter will look just like you! Adorable!

And the zebra is too fun. My family are purgers and I am, too. My parents have garage sales or donate stuff just about every year. Sadly I have nothing special, like your zebra, left over from my childhood.

Keep it. It's very special.
